Amicus Therapeutics, Inc.

Amicus Therapeutics, a biotechnology enterprise, is committed to the research, development, and commercialization of therapeutic solutions for rare genetic conditions. Its flagship commercial product, Galafold, is a precise, orally administered medication intended for adult patients with a verified diagnosis of Fabry disease who possess a treatable galactosidase alpha gene variant, as indicated by in vitro laboratory assays. The company's robust development pipeline features AT-GAA, an innovative therapeutic approach for Pompe disease, in addition to other enzyme replacement therapies targeting this same condition. Amicus is also conducting a Phase 1/2 clinical trial for CLN3, which is assessing the safety and effectiveness of a solitary intrathecal administration of its AT-GTX-502 gene therapy (an AAV serotype) in affected individuals. Furthermore, research efforts are underway for therapies related to CDKL5, an X-linked gene responsible for coding a protein crucial for regulating essential brain development proteins. Amicus Therapeutics maintains strategic collaboration and licensing agreements with prominent entities such as Nationwide Children's Hospital, the University of Pennsylvania, and GlaxoSmithKline. Established in 2002, the company's corporate headquarters are located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
