Corcept Therapeutics Incorporated

Corcept Therapeutics Inc. is a pharmaceutical company focused on the research, development, and commercialization of treatments for severe metabolic, oncologic, and neuropsychiatric disorders within the United States. Their primary commercial product, Korlym (mifepristone) tablets, is an oral medication administered once daily. It targets hyperglycemia stemming from hypercortisolism in adult patients with endogenous Cushing's syndrome, particularly those with type 2 diabetes or glucose intolerance who have either failed or are unsuitable for surgical intervention. The company's developmental pipeline includes relacorilant, which is being advanced for Cushing's syndrome treatment. A combination therapy of nab-paclitaxel and relacorilant has completed Phase II clinical trials for advanced ovarian tumors and is also under investigation for managing cortisol excess. Further endeavors involve a selective cortisol modulator for metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer, another selective cortisol modulator for antipsychotic-induced weight gain and other conditions, and the development of FKBP5 gene expression assays. Corcept Therapeutics Inc. was founded in 1998 and has its headquarters in Menlo Park, California.
