3D Systems Corporation

Operating globally through its various affiliated companies across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia Pacific, 3D Systems Corporation stands as a premier provider of additive manufacturing and advanced digital production technologies. The company delivers a comprehensive range of 3D printers, employing diverse technologies such as stereolithography, selective laser sintering, direct metal printing, multi jet printing, color jet printing, and extrusion/SLA-based bioprinting. These cutting-edge machines are designed to convert digital blueprints, typically originating from 3D design software, computer-aided design (CAD) programs, or other specialized tools, into tangible, physical objects. Further enhancing its ecosystem, 3D Systems formulates, produces, and markets an extensive catalog of print materials. This includes a wide spectrum of substances like plastic, nylon, various metals, composites, elastomers, wax, specialized polymeric dental materials, and bio-compatible options. Complementing its hardware and materials, the company furnishes a robust suite of digital design tools, encompassing sophisticated software, high-precision scanners, and haptic devices. These instruments, often operating under the Geomagic brand, empower professionals across functions such as product design, simulation, mold and die creation, 3D scan-to-print processes, reverse engineering, production machining, metrology, inspection, and broader manufacturing workflows. Moreover, 3D Systems develops proprietary software platforms crucial for managing additive manufacturing processes. This includes 3D Sprint and 3DXpert, which are instrumental in preparing and optimizing CAD data, managing build platforms, providing automated support generation and placement, simulating prints, and organizing print queues. For researchers, Bioprint Pro offers a dedicated solution for designing and executing repeatable bioprinting experiments. Beyond its product portfolio, the corporation extends its offerings to include essential support and specialized services. These encompass maintenance, training, contract manufacturing services, software support, and precision healthcare services. 3D Systems primarily caters to both large corporations and small to mid-sized enterprises across an impressive array of industries. Its clientele spans sectors such as medical and dental, automotive, aerospace, durable goods manufacturing, government and defense, technology, jewelry, electronics, education, consumer goods, energy, and biotechnology, among others. The company distributes its solutions via a multifaceted sales strategy, utilizing its direct sales force, a network of channel partners, and appointed distributors. Established in 1986, 3D Systems Corporation maintains its principal operational base in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
