iRobot Corporation focuses on the invention, production, and sale of advanced robotics and innovative home products. The company's global footprint includes the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Japan, and other international markets. A significant portion of their offerings revolves around automated floor maintenance solutions. This prominently includes the Roomba line of robotic vacuum cleaners, supported by a range of accessories and consumables like the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal, replacement bags for the Clean Base, various filters, brush sets, and batteries. Additionally, they provide the Braava family of autonomous floor mopping robots, complete with their own consumables such as cleaning liquids, both washable and disposable mopping pads, replacement tanks, and power cells. iRobot also extends its services through subscription plans. Beyond floor care, iRobot markets the H1 Handheld Vacuum, a compact and portable cleaning appliance. A suite of accessories for the H1 is available, encompassing filters, chargers, batteries, and an extension kit that transforms it into a stick vacuum. The company's product range also features air purification systems under the Aeris brand, for which filters and fabric covers are supplied. For educational purposes, they developed Root robots, intended to teach children fundamental coding skills. Furthermore, the Create 2 mobile robot platform caters to a broader audience of educators, developers, and high school and college students, empowering them to program robot actions, sounds, movements, and integrate additional electronic components. iRobot's distribution strategy is multi-faceted, with products accessible through major retail chains, other national vendors, a network of distributors, and third-party resellers. Customers can also purchase directly via the company's official website, its proprietary mobile application, and various e-commerce platforms. Established in 1990, iRobot Corporation's principal corporate offices are located in Bedford, Massachusetts.
