Star Cement Limited, a subsidiary of Century Plyboards (India) Limited, was established in 2001 and is based in Kolkata, India. The company manufactures and distributes various cement and clinker products across the North-Eastern and Eastern regions of India. Its business is structured into two main divisions: Cement and Power. Under its "Star Cement" brand, the company provides a range of offerings, including ordinary Portland, Portland pozzolana, Portland slag, and specialized antirust cement. In addition to its core cement operations, it also generates power. Products are sold to consumers through an extensive network of dealers and retailers. The firm, originally incorporated as Cement Manufacturing Company Limited, officially adopted its current name, Star Cement Limited, in June 2016.
